I was sitting at home looking for something and I felt my water break. I thought at first I peed myself but the fluid just kept gushing that is when I knew my water broke. I ran to the bathroom and told my husband my water broke and that we needed to go to the hospital especially because I was only 33.5 weeks along. We went to the hospital and the doctor said that my water definitely broke but they wanted to wait until I was at least 34 weeks so we did. I delivered on 12/31 for the first time vaginally. My baby was only able to spend like an hour with me and then was whisked away to the NICU where she spent the next 2.5 weeks. While she was in the NICU I visited her everyday and watched her get stronger and stronger. Now my baby is home and is doing great. We had a scare about 2 weeks ago when she choked, turned blue and stopped breathing. We went back to the hospital for 3 days and the doctors did a bunch of test and once everything came back negative we were able to come home. She is now growing and is no longer choking.
