Is this cheating?

I have a boyfriend. And I also have a male best friend who I'm really close with. (We're all high school seniors.) My best friend and I have been through a lot together, and have grown really close. He's really affectionate towards me, hugging me a lot, kissing my cheek and forehead, walking with his arm around my shoulders. He also buys me food a lot and gives me gifts randomly. We tell each other 'I love you' every now and then, whether it be in a light-hearted way or when something serious is going on, but we both mean it as 'I love you as a best friend' way. My boyfriend isn't too thrilled about it, but he puts up with it because he knows how happy I am to have my friend in my life and to be so close with him. Still, some people at our school see our relationship is as cheating. What do you think?
