Is my house big enough to raise a family?

FTM here with some pre-baby anxiety. 
Myself and my husband have bought our first home together - a 3 bed detached. We’re almost at the point of signing contracts and my anxiety has ramped up about it not being big enough. I originally wanted a four bed, but the area we’ve bought in is a little more expensive than other places we looked at so we ended up with a 3 bed. 
Our first child is due in July and ideally we’ll have a second baby in a few more years. What do you think?

I was brought up in a 3 bed house with my parents and brother and our house was a lot smaller than that. I mean you could just fit a single bed in the box room and an adult in the kitchen. So yes in comparison your house will be spacious enough 😊

Looks the same as mine, a perfect starter house 👍 we already have a dog and baby number 1 on the way. We plan to have baby 2 here as well but then move when they're just out of the toddler stage.

We bought our 3 bed semi last year. Still waiting to fill them rooms. Plus we have a bubbly dog and 2 fish tanks. I feel as if theres a lot of room for us so I don't see why you wouldn't feel the same

Easily big enough, we are a family of 4 (2 adults, a 3yr old and a baby due any day) and we are living snug but comfortably in a 2 bed, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and conservatory! The girls will share the largest room and we have the smaller one 😁

I’m expecting my 3rd and we live in a 3 bed! Baby will be in our room for a bit but we’re looking to move to a 4 bed your home will be fine, for me it’s less about the bedroom/living space and more about the storage space! X

Yep- we’ve just purchased our first home, a new build (3 bed detached) which is similar to the size and layout of yours! I think it’ll be perfect for our first baby and then if we have another we will go for a 4 bed detached.

Definitely big enough and looks really lovely. 
Plus there are always options to extend either upwards or outwards if you want to later on. 
We have a 3 bed semi in London and will probably extend before second child (if and when we have one) but our third bedroom is much smaller than yours and is used as an office as my partner works from home. 
Many people have far less room than either of us and manage well.
