Babys last name?

I’m pregnant and due in March. 
Me and the babies father broke up. 
We already have a daughter together and she has his last name.... Do I give this baby the same as his sibling? Or mine?

I voted dad only because of the other child having his last name. 
If you’re considering changing the other child’s last name to yours, then I vote your last name.

Don’t give this child a different last name then the other since they share a dad. It’s gonna grow up feeling left out and wondering why it didn’t get daddy’s name too

Could hyphenate both of their last names. If you only want one, id say dads last name, he is still their dad.
Just think it could be odd for them when they realize they have different last names. So what ever you choose, would just say they both should be the same.

Sound like you are raising the child(ren)? Then give them BOTH your name. It’s your baby. This whole dad’s name thing is a social construct that you don’t need to follow.

Is he a great dad and super involved? If so, I'd give the new baby the name to match big sibling.
Is he inconsistent as a father, and unlikely to be a major supportive presence in new baby's life? Then give the new baby your name.

I have my father's last name and liked it, even though I didn't actually have much of a relationship with him until later. Plus, my Mom got married eventually and I would have had to change my name when that happened, which isn't necessarily a big deal, but glad I didn't have to do so none the less.

This is debatable. If he is in your other child’s life and will be there for the baby after it’s born, then yes his name. But if he’s a deadbeat, then yours. 🤷🏻‍♀️ that’s how I feel.
