Hair Loss after miscarriage?!?

I know its common to have postpartum hair loss after delivery a termed baby. But for some reason I didn't think it would happen after a miscarriage. I had a missed miscarriage a week ago. My baby stopped growing at 9 weeks but found out at 12 weeks. I had a d&c on 8/25. I have noticed my hair falling out as if I had given birth to a full term baby. I am still taking my prenatals. I took them for 4 months before I got pregnant too and noticed my hair growing fast and thick. Anyone else experience hair loss after miscarriage??

I'm sorry for your lost. I miscarried 8/8 and I'm STILL losing hair like crazy! I haven't been taking vitamins because to me it felt like a routine I was doing fort baby, and it was just hard mentally for some reason and I never really tried to again after the first week. But I am still losing hair , and it's from the roots , not like breakage or brittle hair . I have no clue how to stop it I condition frequently , but I think a lot of it has to deal with the stress mentally , and also physically , pregnancy is hard on your body .

I'm so sorry for your loss. Yes, I lost a lot of hair after my miscarriage at 19 weeks. It grew back in and got full again after a little while. I kept taking my prenatals everyday so I'm sure that helped. Hugs to you 💜
