I recently went to the ob/gyn told her we have ben ttc for well over a year.

She said the next step is an HSG Test. She said someone would call me to schedule it. Well my insurance doesn’t cover it.

So they sent me the paper work in the mail. Basically an order for the test along with lab work I need. On the lab work it states CD 5-10. The HSG test just says what hospital I should go to and the number to schedule it.

What the heck? Has anyone done this before.... I’m assuming the lab work I must do between cycle days 5-10 but how does this work. Do I wait for the lab work to come back before I schedule the test? Does the HSG test have to be CD 5-10? Am I scheduling them the same day or within 24 hours of each other? I mean I’m paying out of pocket I want to do the right thing.

I’ve called the medical assistant already a few times regarding the diagnosis codes and CPT codes regarding insurance but I feel like I’m a bother to her......

Anyone have this done? Advice? Or how it went for you???
