German chamomile essential oil for baby ?

My new baby seems to get gassy, have trouble sleeping and be colicky quite a bit so I have read German chamomile oil in the vaporiser helps with that?
I just want to know if it’s safe, I’ve read it is completely safe but it still worries me.

Rather read up on fourth trimester and witching hour than trying to fix it with oil.

I don't think you're supposed to diffuse essential oils around newborns if that's what you mean. Especially if your mommy senses are saying no lol. You could try probiotics for colicky symptoms.
