Creating your own Glow group - The How and the Why

With out latest iOS feature (coming soon to android), creating your own niche within the Glow community just got A LOT easier.Let's say you are very interested in talking with women who currently attend college. No such group exits right now. So how would you create one?

Step 1. You, yourself, have to be somewhat active user of Glow. (You need to have created 5 topics/polls at some point in your past.Haven't done that yet - don't fret. It's a pretty easy target to meet.)

Step 2 . Click the "Create Group" button at the top right corner of your community. Fill in the steps, including giving your group a title, and a picture.

Step 3. Now that your group is created you need to get members for it. This part is easy. You can create a topic in the main Sex & Relationships room and say: "hey guys - anyone interested in talking to other women attending college now, i just created a group - it's called "Glow in College". Anyone who wants to join can now see your group by sellecting "See All" in the community groups page.

Step 4. YOU can invite people directly to your group. Let's say you already have a few buddies that you know are interested in your group. Just click on their profile and select "Invite to my group" - and bam! They will get an invite to your group.

Now the question is - why should you create a group? You have a thread. You are happy. Well, that may be true - but when you create a group, you get access to whole lot of real estate. Essentially a whole page to yourself - such that you conversations do not get lost in a 1000+ response thread. And in the future, you will also be able to make your groups private.

It's pretty nifty. And every Glow user gets to create one group.

Let us know if you have any questions!!!
