When did you start washing your baby’s clothes?

I’m currently 28 weeks and my nesting has started! I’m organizing and cleaning like crazy, especially in the nursery. I was thinking about waiting until after my shower in 5 weeks to start washing all her clothes and blankets but I’ve been given a lot of second hand and hand-me-downs so it’s starting to pile up. Is it too soon to start washing? I’m working until I’m 38 weeks so I want everything done!

I’ve been washing as I go so everytime I get a good amount of clothes I wash them then fold them because I know I’m probably going to get a ton of clothes for the baby shower and I don’t want to have to be washing for days since I’m only really home on weekends 😊

I’m not washing until 35 weeks or so(2nd time mom). I want them to be fresh for the baby and it really is only a few loads since the clothes are so small.

I’ve already washed and folded everything jvegotten so far. I know after my baby showers I’m going to be  buried in things to do so I’m going to try and be completely caught up before hand.

I got loads of hand me downs,  I've washed them all a few weeks ago (im.26wk now). Organized by size, folded, and put away. One less thing to worry about when I'm huge and drained of energy!

Once I had a load i washed, folded and organized them. 
I’ve gotten some hand me downs, gifts, bought new and found clearance deals so I have newborn to 18 months. 
What I’m doing is sorting clothes into ages so that’s why I’m doing mine all ahead of time.

I'm FTM and I was thinking the same. I'm not sure when would be a better time to do it. But, I'm planning after the baby shower.

I’ve been having the same thought for a few weeks now. I don’t want to do it too early, but I want everything organized so bad.

I’ll start washing my nb and 0-3m clothes and any blankets around 30 weeks. I will also wash any hand me downs that aren’t from my other kids regardless of size around then too.

I always wash hand me downs once when I get them, then again right before I'll use them. Maybe unnecessary- but, my first son had really sensitive skin, so I'm not taking chances this time around.

I've already gone through and turned everything inside out and put it in a hamper. I figure I'd rather do a few loads at separate times rather than several loads in one day. So, if I ever fold the laundry I have piled by my dryer, I will likely start sooner rather than later.
