Seven and nine dpo is testing too early.  On average, women will implant between 7 and 11 dpo. Then you need 3 or 4 days for the hcg to get high enough to register a positive.  Testing so early is setting yourself up for disappointment. 
I know it's really hard to wait parie tly for 2 weeks, but wait until at least 13 dpo to test if you want to be sure.  And if you find other things to occupy yourself and obsess over for the ttw, it will go a heck of a lot faster :)
