Feelings about Yoga ?????

Question

Several ppl have told me that yoga isn’t for Christians. I recently just did yoga and I feel stupid . I don’t understand why it’s so bad . One lady just said it’s because of the poses and praying to different Gods . 😭😭😭 
Help me someone
We didn’t pray to any Gods . 
We did do a chant at the end  and held hands . We said  I surrender to the flow of love that will heal me .
I WILL NEVER PRAY TO MANY GODS /IDOLS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT 
THERES ONLY 1 GOD !

Historically, yoga has been a practice of eastern religions (Hinduism, buddhism, jainism). Many Christians, who are monotheistic, associate these religions with idol worship and not compatible with christianity. Yoga in it's original form is much more than exercise. It's a deeply spiritual practice and one of the schools of Hinduism. It is a vital part in buddhism in attaining enlightenment. It is the central practice of spirituality in jainism. It has deep cultural roots in India and the east. 
However, yoga as practiced in the west is mainly just the physical poses and postures often combined with meditation or a short prayer that is meant to focus your mind and concentration, relaxing you. It was introduced in the west as purely a method of exercise in the 19th and 20th centuries. 
Nothing about the way Americans practice yoga has anything to do with the ancient spiritual, physical, and mental disciplines of yoga that originated in ancient India by the "idol worshippers" as many Christians and whites call them lol. Western yoga and christianity are totally compatible!

I’m a Christian and a certified yoga teacher. In my personal practice I use it as a time to thank God for making me and my body and all sorts of things. Most classes start with time in child’s pose and I always use that as a time to pray and connect with God and dedicate the practice to listening and Him. If you’re doing yoga as a traditional Indian religious practice that’s one thing but an asana (physical) practice in itself isn’t blasphemous whatsoever- it’s all about the mindset you bring into it.

I'm sure yoga is spiritual for some. If you're not worshipping any false gods or idols while you're doing yoga, then I don't see a problem with it.

The only Christians that shouldn’t do yoga are those closed minded ones who go against everything scientific because there is, you know, scientific reasons behind why yoga is good for you. It’s not all spiritual.

Supposedly the poses and sounds you make during yoga are symbolic. I’m really not sure how exactly because I didn’t really look too deep into it.
