When should I tell my job I’m pregnant 👀

Sooo.. I started a new full time job at 23 weeks ... my tummy was still pretty flat .... I’m still barely showing and I’m 26 weeks.......... I’m almost out of training ( training is 6 week process I was trying to at least get through that before letting them know) but I will be 30 weeks when I finally hit the floor ???? Ugh help !

In UK you have to inform your employer no later than 15 weeks before your due date. I don’t know about other places

You need to tell them ASAP especially since you are at a new to the company, and if you plan on taking a maternity leave... with that also being said I agree with the other commenters. Unfortunately you don’t know for a fact if you will or won’t go into preterm labor or have complications, it’s better to let them know now just in case something unexpected happens.

I would have told them after they hired me. Not waited until after training. It comes off as sneaky. It’s not like they would have been able to fire you and would have prepared them for the fact that they’ll likely have to hire someone else in 2-3 months.

Check your local laws on when you have to disclose it. I wouldn’t tell them any earlier than you have to as many employers will try to sack or force pregnant women out of jobs if they can (not that your employer will, just watch our for it) :) x

I would deff already have told them. U don’t want to get on their bad side bc being there less than a year you don’t qualify for FMLA meaning your job isn’t secured and you can be replaced after 30 days.
