I’m at my wit’s end...
My little one is 7 weeks old, and I exclusively pump. And I’m struggling.
I’m struggling because I’m having a hard time sticking to a regular pumping schedule. I’m the only parent home for most of the day. So when I try to put my little one down for 15 minutes for me to pump, he’ll just scream and cry.
Sometimes he’ll cry for 10 minutes and then fall asleep, but I really don’t want to make this a habit because I’m worried I’m doing more damage than good.
I want my son to have the benefits that breastmilk provides, but it’s stressing me out to hear him cry like that, and I’m worried that it’s stressing him out too, and potentially outweighing the benefits of breastfeeding.
I’d love any great advice, but we aren’t able to nurse, so unfortunately that’s not an option. My goals are to make it 6 months while breastfeeding, but this can’t continue this way. Help, please!
