*URGENT!!!* Quit Job But Need The Money
So, long story short, I quit my job as a waitress 4 days in because of the stress.
I know the first job is always going to be the worst because you don't know anything, and for me, I have even more stressors. This is the first time I'm in public by myself as my parents NEVER let me and my sisters go out by ourselves, I've never been inside the cafe before, I used to not leave the house for months at a time because of my anxiety, and I'm very shy to begin with.
I took the job because the hours seemed great for someone like myself. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11am to 2pm. The pay is $5 an hour plus tip money, which isn't the best, but it's more than nothing. In those 4 days, I made $75 and I still have another paycheck to pick up on Friday.
College is still pretty far away, but I wanted to get a job well before to save a few extra bucks. And it's just nice to have some money for emergency situations.
The pros are that it's a small business with only 4 people working there (excluding myself) who are absolutely amazing, my town is small so there isn't too much going on most of the time, the hours are perfect, I'm getting experience, and I'm earning some coins.
The cons are that I'm shy (but getting better!), the people can sometimes be rude/impatient with me, I've already gotten yelled at by the owner in the middle lunch rush (she wasn't my manager and she rarely comes in), and I feel like I'm not learning fast enough or that I'm annoying customers because I'm new. I'm also so stressed that I'm making myself sick, but that's all on me. I tend to over think a lot of things and it's definitely not helping.
I kind of need a definite answer by Friday since I'm going to pick my check up and talk to my manager. She said I'm more than welcome to come back as long as I go the days I'm scheduled.
So, what do you guys think? Anything is appreciated, babes!! Thank you!!!
