My 27 weeker is almost 7 months old!

Alantra🧜‍♀️ • Wife ❤ 1 son 💙 One on the way with a twin in heaven 💕

Back in July I wrote about my son being born at 27 weeks 3 days on July 22nd 2018. I learned over the last few months that the Dr had given up reviving him when he stopped breathing after his cord was cut. But a nurse that I'm so thankful for, and I tell her that every week when I update her, spent 40 minutes crying over my son and giving him CPR until he was stable enough to be intubated. He was 2lbs 8oz and 13.75" long. His hand was smaller than my nipple when I did skin to skin...

Hunter and I both went through a lot during his 109 days in the NICU. To save some time I won't write about it all. Bottom line is, He made it home😍

The bruises are from CPR and being intubated.

He came home on November 10th, 2018. He was sent home on oxygen. Which as of last week, he is completely off of!! He is holding his head up, taking full bottles and working on holding it himself, eating baby food and LOVING it, trying to sit on his own, reach for things and roll over. He coos, and squeals all the time and "talks back to me". He's social smiling, laughing and he recognizing me, his dad, and his grandparents. He even has Favorites! He's 12lbs 10oz. 26" long as of today. Did I mention hes already teething!!

I just wanted to share my Miracle baby story so if there's anyone on here needing to hear that it will be okay and it will get better. You WILL get home and he or she will thrive. You're not alone in this. Theres lots of women like myself that are more than happy to let you cry and vent to us because we know what that kind of support means to someone in that situation. Even if its from format stranger on the internet. Hunter died at birth and almost died on us 2 times in the NICU along with other issues he had.. if I typed everything he went through, this would be wayyyy too long to read..

Here's some pictures from Day 1 home to now :)
