A family friend son has had a big crush on me, keeps buying me gifts and asking me out all the time. At first I told him I’m not interested in a relationship that I’m really busy and just want to deal with my live. He still sent me gift for my birthday and holidays and writing me letters of how much he likes me but I told him again that I’m not interested in dating and to please stop buying me gifts because I felt uncomfortable. This still didn’t make him stop so I told him I was into girls to get him to leave me alone and to not tell my parents about it. It’s not true though but now I feel like a horrible person for lying. I was just over it he’s such a nice guy but I’m not into him like he is with me. My parents aren’t any help they really like him and are upset that I don’t want anything to do with him and they don’t know that I told that I’m into girls which is not true. Any advice for me? Am I a horrible person?
