Can an 11 month old have allergies?

My son has been congested and dark circles have crept under his eyes and he’s rubbing his nose a lot and eyes but I read babies under a certain age can’t have allergies.. i feel like maybe the parents website wasn’t right

Our Dr said our 3 months old showed signs of allergy. Congestion, increased sneezing and rubbing nose and eyes. There's nothing to be done until 1 year when a test is conducted but we try minimize dust and she sleeps in a bamboo mattress in her crib. No fragrance in her lotion and simple detergent that the family uses so we all kinda smell the same.

Seasonal allergies, like to grass, pollen, etc. don’t typically start that young mainly just because babies don’t spend that much time outside. But they can have other allergies like food allergies, or reactions to laundry detergent, they can also be irritated my dust or mold or something in your home.

I found out my now 2 year old daughter is allergic to Tylenol.  She was maybe 11 or 12 months old at the time, with in 3 days of using it ,she developed hives on her body. When I noticed it took her to the doctor and came to find out that was a allergic reaction to that medicine.

They just can’t be tested until they’re older.
