Milk?

Question

How much milk do your Babes drink a day? We just had our 18 month well visit and the paper said we should be giving 16-24oz of milk a day?? 😳 I really haven't even been giving 1 glass most days. I thought we where past the age of "Needing milk" insert mom guilt.

None 😂 My daughter drinks water and has a good enough variety in her diet to meet the needs that milk would be meeting 🤷 
It's not a liquid miracle, my doctor said the main purpose is for calcium and vitamin D so as long as those needs are met it's unnecessary. 
My daughter hasn't had milk since 12 months and is healthy as can be. Don't stress it.

My son gets a cup of milk w every meal. Snacks are usually with water, which I make available throughout the day.
Even with this, my son will maybe drink 10oz on a good day. We have a yogurt every day and occasionally some sort of cheese with lunch or snack. 
Pretty sure the recommendation is for children that may not be getting enough calcium rich foods in their diet, thinking they will be able to get it more easily through milk consumption.

We offer milk and water all day long, but I do try to push milk more often. She’s on the lower side of weight(not even 23 pounds yet), so I’m more comfortable giving her as much as she wants.

Yeah I usually give one in the morning and at night so about 20oz. Depends which cup we use. Sometimes it’s only like 12oz. But she also drinks about 20-30oz of water a day 😳 it’s like my daughter won’t put her cup down

Both my kids refuse to drink milk. So frustrating. I used to get so annoyed but I don’t anymore. They get two servings of yogurt a day and a string cheese. Pediatrician said that’s fine and no reason to worry.

My son is still breastfed and gets Soy from time to time since he's allergic to cows milk. It's about providing enough of the same nutrients that milk has, not so much about the milk itself.

We give our LO milk with all meals and snacks and offer it in between.  He usually drinks 2-3 (7oz) sippy cups throughout the day.  Once he finishes the second one, we also offer water.

None. 🤷🏻‍♀️ she was breStfed until the last month but since then she doesn’t get any milk. Instead we feed her protein and fat rich foods.
