Should permanent filler be banned?

I was watching "Botched Bodies" last night. A lot of what I've watched so far has been issues with permanent filler. One of the doctor on the show said permanent filler should be banned. Do you agree?
Bonus:
I've also heard horror stories of people being injected with non-medical grade materials unknowingly. How do you purpose we stop or minimize this?

The quality standards for the materials used should definitely be higher, and there should be more inspections of the facilities providing the fillers as well as the manufacturers of the fillers. The education standards to get a license to use fillers should also probably be higher.

No it shouldn’t be banned. However there should be stricter rules on quality control. 
I’m sorry, but u go to Mexico to get cheap fillers your asking to get botched. The whole u get what I pay for is totally in question when it comes to things like this. 
Also there could be top quality fillers used and people’s bodies still reject them. 
I think when it comes to fillers there’s a “buyers beware” everyone should realize. And doing research into doctors and products is so important

Nope. I'm pretty much always pro choice in terms of bodily autonomy. I think standards should be higher when facilities are performing these procedures. If someone is trying to cut cost and go to a backdoor salesman, they know the risks and are allowed to make that decision. Backdoor salesman should be punished for operating without a license when caught.

People need to realise 2 things: 
There is NO such thing as permanent filler injections. ALL filler injections are semi-permanent and will eventually dissolve, the time it wakes depends on the person’s body and metabolism. 
The ONLY permanent “filler” would be implants. Whether that is lip implants, cheek implants or chin implants. Also known as augmentation (think breast and buttocks) 
These permanent filler injections are FAKE, DANGEROUS and NOT APPROVED for injection. No reputable doctor or medical aesthetician will agree to even purchase this product, let alone inject it into someone’s face. To those that have been given fillers under the impression they are permanent, PLEASE double check with the practitioner what exactly was given to you. You may have been sold a dream and been injected with regular filler, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. 
Now to inform you on how permanent filler is correctly done; there are 3 types. 
The first type is a medical grade silicone-like alternative to collagen (similar to breast implants). There is a higher infection and complication rate with this method. 
The second is something called Alloderm, which is tissue fibres taken from corpses..yes, dead people, sterilised and freeze dried before being implanted. Because this is human tissue, the rejection rate is lower, however there is still research going on into whether there is ANY risk of disease being spread, at the moment there is NO evidence...but that’s at the moment. 
The third is called fat grafting or fat transfer as some of you may know. The most “natural” of the 3. There is almost no rejection rate, however your body will metabolise and “burn” fat should you lose or gain weight. So if you are one to lose weight in your face, your filler may decrease.

I don’t know enough honestly. I will say this, filler and injectables have always made me uneasy. I had a neurologist that wanted to try Botox for my migraines and I just couldn’t shake the uneasiness I had about it. To me they just haven’t been around long enough to know all the negative effects they can have on the body. So for me I won’t be trying them.

I think so , along with finding these backdoor people who are doing black market injections and injecting people with cement. I remember reading a story that some lady was injecting herself with oil as a filler and was encouraging other people to try it. She later died because of it

I think people are doing procedures like injection of non-medical fillers by non-doctors because they cost a lot of money from board certified plastic surgeons. They may not know that they aren't receiving medical grade fillers, all they know is they're only paying $90 for lip injections that cost $900 from a decent medical professional. They dont know how bad the complications can be, or dont care.
I am not sure if there's a way to reduce this. Botox and fillers are expensive- they shouldn't be cheaper.
