Postpartum support bands?

Anyone have any experience with them? Aeroflow, the company I got my pump through for free, also had a page for maternity support bands and postpartum bands. So I figured I'd see if I qualify, why not if insurance is picking up the tab?! Turns out I do! I just got the email that both bands are shipping. The maternity support wont get much use by the time I get it, I'll be 36+ weeks. But the postpartum one I'll have here before I deliver. I never wore anything after my first baby. I'm curious if its actually useful??? And if they are great.... Should I pack it to start wearing at the hospital?
