Cervix check with a PAP tool?

Has anyone ever had a cervix check with a PAP smear tool? Would it even be considered a cervix check? FTM and my doctor used this on me today to see if I was dilating or not and of course he said I wasn’t. 😩

I was checked a good amount of times by the doctors and not once did they use that for me 😮

They only used that on me when they checked to see if I was leaking or not! They only ever used fingers for a cervical check.

My doctor has never used that. She just checks with her fingers.
