A year ago on Valentines Day I got my first positive pregnancy test ever. That was the first time I ever got to experience the magic of a plus sign. I hurried to get a blood test to confirm, and two days later, I told my husband he was going to be a daddy. A year ago, I thought our lives were going to change forever.

However, days later, I miscarried. Long story short, I miscarried two more times after that.

So here we are, a year later, still trying. Our journey has not been easy. This Valentine’s Day was bittersweet. I enjoy the fact that we try to make an ordinary day a little extra special, but it’s tough thinking about how things could have been, looking back at where we were a year ago.
