I get period like pains in my abdomen. They have started back up in the last few days. I’m 32 weeks

I get them in my abdomen, not in my back. I spoke to my doctor and midwife about it recently and they both said it’s not unusual. It happens because of all the stretching and in preparation for labour. 
If the pains are severe and accompanied by any bleeding, or if they start getting stronger, then go to the hospital. 
It could be Braxton Hicks too

Occasionally in my front but thats where I get my period pains anyways. 
I think it was here I read that it's your body getting ready or something like that?
