Membrane Sweep Worked!

Helena

I was due with my baby 2/02 and was very much done being pregnant. I had been walking around at 2-3cm dilated and -1 station for a week and was 6 days out of risking out of being able to birth at the Birth Center I preferred. (The cut off is 42 weeks). Saturday morning at 9am I went in for a membrane sweep to try and move things along. I’d heard mixed results but wanted to try. By 5pm I was in labor. And after 21 hours Malcolm Eòin was born at 1:10pm Sunday!

(Pic of him snuggled up with his daddy while I got stitched back together from his big pumpkin head.)
