Induction due to baby's size?

Question

Since my 20 week anatomy scan, our little guy has been measuring just over a week ahead. My midwife wants to induce me at 39 weeks because of this. I am currently 37+4. At 36+1, I had a cervical check and was not dilated or effaced. At my 37 week appointment, he was not engaged either. My question is, should I go ahead and be induced at 39 weeks, or fight it a little more?

Absolutely not. I’ve measured 3 weeks ahead this entire pregnancy. Not worried about it. Every baby grows at a different rate and their measurements can be wayyy off. Your baby will come when he or she is ready and it is extremely rare for a baby to be too large for their mother to birth. 
With that being said, if you are planning on getting an epidural I would wait and be induced at 41 weeks. IF your baby is on the larger side, it can be difficult to birth laying on your back and with drugs that slow things down. But just know you will be at risk to have a c-section if you induce too early.

Is this ur first? 
My bub is measuring 2 weeks ahead  his head is measuring 37 weeks baby #6 I've been advised on a ceaser due to him being big and the fact he could take my uterus with him plus I  heomaraged with my 4th and she was only 7 pound so there concerned about not being able to stop it. These are my risks in why they want to go at 39 weeks as all my babies have been 1-2 weeks late. And my risks go up as I go further. 
I've been induced with all of my babies as I dont progress past 3 cm and need the extra help. Labouring was fine I just used the gas mix no epidural or any other pain relief. 
At the end of the day I would take the advice of your doctor obviously there is a  reason why they want to induce u early if bub is only measuring 1 week ahead

Absolutely not! I’m measuring 3 weeks ahead and induction is pointless, risky, and can cause major complications. Your baby should pick their birthday, not you.
