“Bloody show”??

Curious when everyone had their so called “bloody show” losing their mucous plug.. I’ve only lost a couple small bits of mine after a membrane sweep and I’m 40 weeks.. do you always lose it before contractions begin? Does it always happen before labour?

I had my bloody show about 12 hrs before even going into labor with my first . My second I never had one, unless it came out when my water broke which was literally right when I started pushing.
