When someone says “natural birth” or “natural delivery”, what do you think of?

People typically mean “no pain meds” however no child is born “unnaturally” so the correct terms would be vaginal birth, unmedicated birth, or c-section

I’m on the fence. A natural birth would be without meds or a vaginal birth because giving birth vaginally is the natural way. A csection isn’t ya know? Nothing against csections, it’s still giving brith!

So before I actually had a child (I was so clueless) I used to say natural birth when referring to vaginal delivery. A lot of people truly don’t know much about the delivery of a baby. Sex Ed or any type of bodily health class weren’t taught at my high school and in college the health class I took covered nothing on pregnancy/delivery. I researched a ton before I had my daughter and even then in labor I experienced things I had never read about.
