How long after miscarriage?

Are there guidelines on how long you should wait after miscarriage to try again? Does it take a while for your cycle to become normal? I feel like I’ve seen a lot of posts about women becoming pregnant the month after a miscarriage. Anyone have any experience with this?

I was told after one regular cycle. I got pregnant first try after and am almost 16 weeks with twins now.

Our dr gave us the go ahead once HCG was down to zero a few days later. 
We were by no means trying as we were pretty upset, but just had more of an intimate moment and we’re currently 37 weeks having BD literally once that cycle after the miscarriage, I left for work overseas the day after what would have been the fertile window peak.  
My suggestion would be to have a lengthy discussion with your partner regarding when you both feel emotionally ready, as it could be devastating to start receiving negative tests while grieving your current situation.

I was 10 weeks. My doctor said wait 3 cycles, basically because if I got pregnant right away, my body would have been pregnant for over a year and that’s not great for your body since baby is sucking all your nutrients. I’m glad I did, because my cycle length got longer for exactly 3 cycles and if I had been ttc and thought I was “late” it would have been extra sad.

Yes but it varies depending on how far along you are. My doctor said to wait two periods, I was 8 weeks. She also said if I didn't wait that long it wasnt the end of the world. It's more of a precaution to make sure your uterus is fully recovered and ready for your rainbow.

My dr suggested to wait 3 full cycles. I wish I had waited. It was just such a disappointment each time we weren’t successful. My body took awhile to get back to normal. It took 4 cycles for us to conceive, but the 4th month my body did what I was suppose to when I was ovulating.

When I had an early miscarriage at 9 weeks I was told to wait until I had at least one regular period , but when I lost my daughter at 22 weeks I was told to wait until I had two regular menstrual cycles before ttc again.

My Dr told me to wait for my 1st period to come, then I could start ttc again. It took us 14 months to conceive after the miscarriage. Apparently your more fertile after a miscarriage but not in our case. Best wishes. x
