dresser for a nursery, do you really need it?

Yes. How would you not need one? I’m skipping a changing table and putting the changing topper on the dresser. Can’t imagine getting by without one or the other of those pieces of furniture

Ive always used one, I wouldn’t have anywhere else to put clothes.

We don’t have one! Our nursery is fairly small, so we had to choose between a dresser or a glider. I wanted the glider. We are hanging most everything, using bins for sheets, burp cloths, etc, and a storage drawer for any clothing that can’t be hung.

I think a dresser is necessary cause baby clothing and such .

Yes you’ll need it. I used a smaller 3 drawer one for my first born. Top drawer housed diapers, wipes and creams etc. The other 2 for all of the clothes. As they get older they like to pull them open and choose their clothes. I don’t even use the closet so I find a dresser very useful.

I’m not sure (FTM) but we got one and it’s not a “baby dresser” it’s something he can have and grow into. Eventually he will need one and I hate buying cheap stuff that is useless after a year. We put the changing pad on top of it and also have some clothes hung in the closet. So far it seems worth it because I can store so much more than just clothes (he doesn’t have that many yet!) but we can put diapers and wipes and bathing supplies in the dresser as well and keep everything tidy

I like that it doubles as a changing table. I can hide diaper clutter in a drawer, and clothes are readily accessible without having to think ahead for emergency blowouts.

I have one that he’ll grow into as he won’t have a closet to hang stuff. 
If you have a closet then you may not need one because there are many storage options! I think it’s just a personal choice for whatever works for you 🤷‍♀️
