Dental Costs

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been to a dentist in 17 years. And of course I had a tooth that broke so going to the dentist was inevitable. It was an upper wisdom tooth that should have been removed a long time ago. Anyway I don't have dental insurance and it cost me $468 to get my upper two wisdom teeth pulled. That seems outrageous to me. Has anybody else paid that much or is that a good price? They also want $2,017 to surgically remove my bottom wisdom teeth. Is that a good deal or is that way too much? It amazes me how expensive dental work is!
