Oct. ‘17 mamas: Have you started trying to potty train yet?

Question

If yes, please share what methods you are using! 
I believe my girl is showing signs of readiness (she is hiding in corners/behind furniture to poop, will nod her head yes when I ask if she pooped, and will sometimes squat down to poop in the bathroom while someone is using the bathroom). I have no clue where to begin!

I ask my daughter if she pooped and if she did she walks to her diaper changing station by herself and knows she has to get changed. So that’s a start I suppose.

We aren’t, but our son is doing a lot of the same things. We have him come to the potty with us and we talk him through what’s going on. Idk if it’ll help or not but I figured why not. I’m going to get a small potty soon for him to sit on to get familiar with it.

Yes!👌🏾 We waited until she started showing signs of readiness. We have two potty training chairs for her and one for a toilet seat. So far, so good! She has rarely wet on herself since we have been potty training her. She is also getting better with number two lol. She lets us know when she has to pee pee. Like I said, we are working on number two haha. We kind of fell off last week when we went on vacation, but not too much. We were not able to put her on the potty as much, but it did not mess us up too much. For the most part, she is still telling us when she has to use it.👍🏾

We have purchased a little potty for him and I sit him on it while running his bath at night. So far he has peed once by accident and we made a big deal about it. Since he follows me into the bathroom I’ve been singing a potty song while I pee and letting him play with his mini potty and he just recently would sit on his potty and wait lol. I don’t think he’s ready for potty training, but I’m trying to get him familiar with the process.

I got him a potty but he still doesn’t get what it is. 😂 he’s not showing signs but I haven’t started yet
