how tubby time started, and ended ☹️
yesterday night was a nightmare.
I felt like the world's worst mom.

we LOVE tubby Time. it's our favorite. but last night as the water was draining and I was cleaning up the stupid shower head came off while I was fixing it (it's one of those ones you can take off and use) and landed on my son's head and broke skin right at his hair line.
I was alone and stayed pretty calm getting ice and a towel. it left a nice bruise and bump immediately. I called my mom who lives a few blocks away and she came right over. we agreed he was so responsive and started to smile and play to not take him in. but 20 minutes later he threw up a a very small amount. I called his doctors who said to take him to the er.
they didn't see us till almost 2+ hours after we got there. waiting in a room with very sick people and well past bedtime. we where just about to leave, because he hadn't thrown up again, was flirting with EVERYONE, walking holding onto my hands and just being super sweet.
but that's when we finally got called in, and of course he was fine, they didn't even want to run tests on him after taking one look at him.
by that point it was extremely past bedtime and we had, had it!

I look back at this photo today and can at least chuckle a little. thank God it was nothing worse, and even though going to the er was hell for all of us, and a giant waste of money I could sleep easy.
he is now very happily playing with daddy on the floor babbling away and I'm happy it's all in the past. until my friend reminded me "just wait till he's a teenager!" 😂🤦♀️
