Tips for quitting nail biting/picking?!?

In need of how you ladies may have kicked your bad habit, I'm a nervous/when I'm not paying attention nail biter and I'm tired of my nails looking so awful. Any useful tips and tricks that really worked?

I noticed that when I had them painted and not plan looking I didn't want to bit them and mess them up so they looked pretty. Try keeping them painted for a few weeks. I also chewed gum like a 10 yr old for about a month. Lol. Kept my mouth busy chewing instead of bitting my nails.

When I was little I was a nail biter. My mom put this stuff on my nails that tasted nasty and made me not want to bite them. Maybe look up something safe you can put on them that will make them taste weird. It worked I have not bitten my nails since.
