Can a menstrual cup shorten you period?

I started using a diva cup last month. Im on day three of my period for this month and its like im done my period already. I would be happy but i normally have my period for a week. Is that normal? Or should i be concerned?

I feel like menstrual cups are a more efficient collection system than pads or tampons. It’s probably the same amount of blood. It’s just been expelled and collected more efficiently.

I don’t think it’s proven to shorten your period but I went from having 5-6 days of bleeding to 3/4 days. All my friends that use a cup are also having shorter periods.

Cycles can change, this could just be your new normal. My cup makes it feel shorter for sure and maybe cut a day but I also changed my diet so who knows. Scientifically no.

Mine went from 7 to 4 days after switching. I shave no idea why but it’s awesome.

I'm not sure how it why but I've kind o tested this on myself and it definently changes how long my period lasts. When I don't use it I bleed for exactly 7 days, including spotting and such. When I do use it I usually range between 4-5 days in total. I have no clue what the cause is exactly but every time I try I always get the same result. It's super weird

Periods are rarely exactly the same from month to month. Bodies have too many variables for that to be. So it would be hard to say if the cup made a difference or not.
