Is it safe to be excited?!

Question

I just found out yesterday! I’m really excited but so nervous. It’s my first pregnancy. Did you ladies tell your close family a couple days after the first positive test? I’m very close to my mom, dad and sister so the past 24 hour have been killing me. I’m thinking I’ll tell them today.

So far it’s just my husband and sister that know. I clued her in because I wanted another set of eyes to make sure I wasn’t imagining the line. We got engaged right around the time of my father-in-law’s death. We are now approaching the 1 year anniversary. Since our whole wedding ended up being wrapped up with his passing, I want to wait until we are well past it before sharing this news.

With my first it was a surprise and my mom had already planned and paid for a trip to Jamaica for me her and my sister, scheduled just two weeks after I took my test. I made her come over that night and told her in tears that I couldn’t go to Jamaica because of the zika risk, I thought she was going to be mad at me lol!!! She was like OMG IM GONNA BE A GRANDMA! We told my sister, dad, and my hubbys parents within 24 hours of telling my mom lol. 
With my this one we’re hoping to wait to tell our families until we hear the heartbeat :)

I always tell my mom and hubby obviously lol.  My mom is very close and is my emotional support lol. And I had a late loss last yr so I’ll need someone to talk to even more this time around so yes I’ll be telling her as right away :)

I'm very close with my dad and step mom and I won't be telling them until around 7 weeks only because we are going to visit and they will know when I don't have a glass of wine! This is my 4th though. I waiting until after my first ultrasound with the other 3. Congrats!
