Unsure

Becky

Hi ladies, I’m 38, healthy (though I should probably lose 10 pounds), and have unexplained infertility. My husbands tests are normal too. Last month (January) we started seeing a fertility doctor because we have been unsuccessful on our own for a year. The blood test discovered my TSH level was around 6. She put me on low dose of Synthroid. We tried IUI, but it failed. This month (February) we tried IUI again but I ovulated before the trigger shot. Our doctor wasn’t sure why that happened, but were really discouraged and our doctor recommended to do IVF.

I’m seriously considering it because although we haven’t tried assisted fertility for long, you know how waiting and discouragement feels!

I’m not sure why I ovulated early. It worries me. I asked if it had to do with my thyroid levels and she said no. But she didn’t offer an explanation. Should I find a new clinic? Her clinic is not rated on SART.
