So I recently got a kitten and her name is Jade :) she’s legit like my child.

Anyway, I have a roommate and obviously she’s allowed to spend time with her, but my roommate has been on and off with her ex boyfriend that treats her so badly, I’m talking harassment, a little bit of physical violence, and mental and emotional abuse for about 2 years now. They constantly fight and then hook up again purely because of carnal urges.

So tonight she brought him over, and she asked me if she could bring the kitty into her room with him,

And I politely said “ I kinda don’t want you to because x is here, I don’t like his energy” and she was like aw okay and didn’t seem like she took offense,

But I’m just wondering if I’m thinking too much about it I guess.

I read that cats are very sensitive to negative energy and I just didn’t want to expose her to that.

Am I being ridiculous?
