Crystal ball?

Question

Trying at 43-44 is so hard. No doctor can say I cannot have a baby with nothing wrong but age. But nothing is happening, except for a few chemical pregnancies. When is it time to give up????? My friend just did donor eggs after 11 failed rounds of IVF and is due to have twins. But I cannot go there yet if ever.

I'm 43 going on 44 in almost 2 weeks. Have had two SIS and I'm on two now in hopes that with second SIS dinne during my CD 10 all semen waiting got pushed because dr said tubes looked good and I had two follicles on left side (whatever that meant). He said I was ovulating from left side this month is all I caught. I'm trying not to give up hope but it's mentally draining... Hang in there and see if dr can keep checking. Baby dust!

I am sorry. It’s such an emotional and physical drain. I haven’t even managed a chemical- it’s as if my body won’t take that step. I think giving up would be totally leaving the idea of having a child. Donor eggs, although a huge decision, is merely an alternative route. But both are highly personal choices. I’m still grappling with them myself, but I do feel that I’m not ready to give up yet.

I'm 48.. hubby 46 next mth... we're TTC #2 after mc 9yrs ago. Im booked in for hormone bloods to be done next week as im anovulating since coming off the pill 5mths ago after 13yrs. Fingers crossed for you... sending a hug and positive thoughts your way...

I'm sorry this is happening sometimes for whatever reason it takes a very long time. Keep trying. If you don't want to do IVF look into maybe doing IUI. It's cheaper and they put the sperm inside you for a better chance at getting pregnant. Good Luck!
