I went in Tuesday night (2/12/19) to get my induction started with cydotec only to be sent home 16 hours later with absolutely no change (I did have some contractions though). They had me come back Thursday night (2/14/19) at 11 pm. They started with a 12 hr cervidil insert over night with yet again absolutely no change and no contractions that I could feel. My dr called in another 3 doses of cydotec since it worked better than cervidil as far as contractions go. After the first dose there was STILL no change so I begged my nurse to request pitocin in hopes that stronger contractions would get us some results! Dr okayed the pitocin THANK GOD but said that if there was no change by 3 am that I could opt for a C-section since at that point we had tried for 2 days. At my 3 am check I was at a 1!! It was just enough that my dr could break my water so that’s exactly what he did around 7 am! By 7:45 contractions were hell and I got my epidural and slept until my 9 am check where I was at a 3. By 11 am I was at a 4 and 90% effaced.

* side note to say that my boyfriend and I slept in between each cervix check

At 1:30 pm I woke up & mentioned to my nurse some slight pressure with contractions. I ALMOST didn’t even mention it because it really wasn’t that bad but to mine and my nurses surprise I was at a 10 and 100% effaced and my daughters head was RIGHT THERE so she rand to get my doctor and within 30 minutes she was here!
