Job rant

I HATE my job. I can't stand the double morals. How the supervisors allow some people to not do shit while others are forced to overwork themselves. All this for minimum payment. I hate that it's so hard to get a job that I love without having to compete with everyone else and going to interviews and get rejected by fucking emails. I hate that I have the skills to do something better and I'm wasting my potential being mediocre. I won't ever lick anyone's ass to be loved by my boss and supervisors and being given a position. I deserve more than I'm being given and I work my ass off every day just to be treated like shit and seeing how people less useful than me are given more benefits.

I’ve been there. I took a job for better pay and left a job I really enjoyed because we needed the money (my husband was laid off, and I was only working part time at my old one). I ended up dreading going to work everyday despite the great pay and amazing benefits. When a position at my old company opened up (after I’d been looking for a new job for months) I immediately applied and was offered the job within a few weeks. When my husband and I moved to a different state, I got a job at a convenience store because it was the only place hiring. They lied to me about what the job actually entailed and I was pissed. I immediately gave my two weeks even though I didn’t have another job lined up because the job was freaking horrible, and I was alone all night long during overnight shifts. We weren’t in danger without it, the main bills were being paid, otherwise I would have stuck with it longer until I found something better. The bottom line is that if you have the option, and it’s not a situation where you’ll starve or be evicted if you leave, then it’s not worth staying in a job you hate. If you have family or friends you can rely on if it comes down to that, even better. If you can’t leave until you find a new job, then do everything you can to find one. It’s just plain not worth spending your time at a job like that if it’s not a matter of “my family will starve if I quit and there is literally NOTHING else I can do to bring in money.”

Honestly I'm I'm the same boat. Supervisor like the ass kissers even tho they dont do half their work. I even had to report a few people for neglect and abuse at my job, work in a nursing home and those workers didnt even get a slap on the wrist. I could and should call state to report them. I get the short end of the stick, extra shifts with terrible hall partners where I carry their weight and mine.

I get your point of view. But at the same time, if you hate it that badly then get a different job? Especially if you say it’s minimum wage.. there’s lots of other minimum wage jobs you can get. If you have the education/experience or whatever for something better and not succeeding during the interview process then maybe take a look at what you can be doing differently to help yourself attain those positions or goals. Turn the anger and frustration into motivation and productivity to get yourself out of that situation

I think they’re trying to but getting hired for jobs can be fairly difficult sometimes
