IUD vs the pill? Helppp

Question

I have to make a choice between the two.  I want the IUD but I heard it’s really painful to put in but does work. I’d rather take the pill but have heard horror stories about it not working and people getting pregnant still. Also heard people still have to use condoms while taking it 
... so kinda what’s the point lol.

I’ve got the non-hormonal IUD and I’m also using the Combined Pill as I couldn’t handle the pain and length of my periods with just the IUD. 
Insertion of the IUD was painful and uncomfortable for me and the pain of my periods each month were ridiculous. My periods were also 11-16 days long which I couldn’t cope with 🙄 
The pill has helped with it all though 🤗

I did the pill. That way if I have anything major that I don’t like going on I can stop it ASAP and not have to go in to get it removed.

I was in the same boat, but eventually I decided that the 3 minutes of mild pain was worth it. It also depends on what kind of IUD you're going for, as the non hormonal one lets you have periods and the hormonal one doesn't (Sometimes you spot with it).
