Baby too big??

Question

I have an ultrasound scheduled today (35+5) because my doctor wants to check my baby’s growth. I think she thinks he’s on the bigger side. I’m a bit nervous because if she says she wants to induce, it raises the risk of needing a C-section. This is my second baby. Any moms have experience with this? If so, when did your doctor schedule your induction?

These sorts of scan are notorious for being inaccurate and off by a few pounds when given late in a pregnancy. Getting induced is YOUR decision, not your doctor's. And unless it's medically necessary, you should wait if you're worried it will end up in a c-section. Your body is made for this.

I have one scheduled at 36 to check growth too. At that point dr will decide what we are doing I guess

My last pregnancy I was measuring four weeks ahead and had to have a growth ultrasound. My doctor was concerned about the size of the baby, so she scheduled me to be induced at 39 weeks. Luckily my daughter came on her own at 38 weeks because she was 9lbs 13 oz 😬 
They did have to give me pitocin halfway through. I pushed for an hour and 15 minutes and was able to get her out. 
So rarely do our bodies make a baby that we can’t handle. I think if I hadn’t gone into labor when I did, I might have needed a csection, but I think my body knew it was time to get her out.

In Canada they won’t induce from baby ‘being too big’ unless they exceed 95th percentile.  I had my fingers crossed but my little guy only falls 80th... 🙄 still going to be probably a 9lb Baby by 40 weeks.

Also, I don’t have any health risks such as pre-eclampsia or gestational diabetes
