Thoughts on Mirena IUD or Copper IUD?

I have my 6 week PP appointment in 3 weeks and i’m horrible at taking the pill. I’ve also had the nexplanon before for about 5 1/2 years before i took it out to start a family & i will NOT go back on that. It was the worst!! But i’m looking into the IUD’s. I’ve heard pros and cons of it. I want to know what y’all’s experiences are with it? Or if y’all have any other good BC’s y’all want to recommend.

I love mirena. I have really bad heavy periods. After month 4 it stopped my periods which I love. No condoms or pull out and I havent gotten pregnant. The hormones stay in your uterus so less likely to get side effects. I only had bad cramps for 2 weeks as a side effect. I'm on month 8 and I love it. I've had paragard before but my periods were already so heavy that it made it actually worse. If you have light to medium flow you may do ok with paragard.

I'm on month 4 with Mirena and I love it so far! I believe my period is ending because I haven't had it for this month yet, I have no reason to suspect anything because I have the IUD, condoms, and pullout, so I am very protected. So far my only con was insertion, it just felt like a strong period cramp and it was done, but I was cramping a few hours after but that was it.
