Is a Doppler safe?

I’m thinking about buying one but it is safe? How often should you use it? I wouldn’t want to do ANYTHING to risk my baby..

They are safe. I have one and I try not to use it every single day. But once or twice a week for 5 minutes, you and baby should be fine. The only thing is that it could possibly cause you stress if you can’t find it so if you feel like you will stress out if you don’t find it every time, then I would avoid buying one.

I have one and use it every couple of days but like the lady before me don’t get it if you will be stressed I thought about giving mine away one time when I couldn’t find the heart beat and got extremely upset and paranoid but put it down and tried it later and found it right away. It’s a good peace of mind but can also be very scary at the same time !!

I have one and only use it when I get worried. So if I don’t feel pregnant or once a week with my husband and son so they can be a part of the pregnancy.

I think those can cause unnecessary stress and it’s not worth it. I’ve miscarried before. Still won’t  buy one. I would make myself physically ill if I couldn’t find the heartbeat. I understand why some people do buy them though.

I have used one in the past. It worked and I enjoyed it. However I’d strongly advise against using one now that I am aware of the increased risks. 
There is something called a fetoscope which can be used and doesn’t send extra ultrasound waves to the baby.
