When to see a doctor

I know the general rule is to wait until it’s been a full year of unsuccessfully TTC before you see a doctor, but has anyone here actually been able to get in and see one before that 1 year mark due to a personal history of cyst and or family history of infertility or anything like that?

I’m getting routine hormone and HSG this month after trying 4 months (this is currently our 5th month trying). I have a 9-day luteal phase which is what caused me to seek help. Don’t forget to ask for a male fertility analysis as well!

Yes I told my obgyn about my husband and I having problems TTC ( only been trying for 4 months now) he has had chemo and she told us to make an appointment with a specialist sooner rather than later.

I was able to get in! I had not had a cycle since July (I went in Nov) I also have PCOS & family history of fertility issues. I was prescribed letrozole on my first visit just by giving my dr my background info. It is definitely worth calling & asking. Good luck! ☺️

It’s always worth a call to ask.
