Is he over her??

Question

We started dating couple months ago. He just got out of a relationship and his ex girlfriend dumped him because he wasn’t being a good boyfriend.
He told me that he sent a message to her a while ago apologizing and saying that he still loves her.
He will talk about her and bring her up. He even kept the stuff she gave him and tried to hide from me.
They just started talking again because he reached out to her and in the 3 months we’ve been dating, he wants to get over her and says that he does but my gut is telling me otherwise.
I’ve seen pictures of her and she’s way out of his league and from what he told me, she always put him first and she was the best girlfriend he has ever had (he told me this before we officially got together)
What should I do?
Forgot to mention he reached out to her on Valentine’s Day..

Dumb his ass he clearly isn’t over and her and clearly is trying to get back with her behind your back, or tell him that if he wants to be with you he has to stop talking to her.

I would say no from what it sounds like they are ex’s for a reason tell him he needs to put a stop to it or your out you don’t deserve that you need to be his main attention...

Based on my experience he is not over her. The fact that he’s the one reaching out to her says a lot. At first I didn’t want to accept it, but no I’m the one hurting. Save yourself the hurt and walk away from that.
