How do you feel about promise rings?

Nothing like making a promise that you’ll make a promise to marry someone 🙄😒 it juvenile and something kids do, imo. You either want to marry them or you don’t, don’t waste your time with a bunch of useless steps🤦🏼‍♀️

Ive never really cared for them but I recently got one from my boyfriend. We’re both 18 and we got pregnant last August, he is leaving to join the military in May after the baby is born. He decided to get me one because we’re not quite ready for marriage but he wanted me to have something to have while he’s gone & to him it was a really big deal to get me one. I thought it was so sweet! I used to think they were pointless but it’s the most thoughtful gift I’ve ever gotten and I’m so appreciative of it! I think it’s a great idea for younger people or just anyone who isn’t ready for that big of a commitment yet.

When I was 7 my best friend gave one to me. Even though it was a ring pop it was still cute. He told me, “Promise to be with me forever?” So now, we are happily married with 1 kid. 😂

It’s cute for younger people or people who can’t get married for a legit reason but if you’re grown and getting promise rings then you probably sound childish trying to explain why you have one

I think there isn’t much of a point it’s really just an extra step. But if a guy wants to get me a promise ring imma wear it. 😂 I do not date people I do not intend on marrying and my SO seems to have similar intent(not any time soon) so it won’t really change anything in my eyes. I’ll just have a cute ring to think on it 😉
