Menstural cup ER VISIT!!!
I wanted to stop using pads because I am prone to infections. I did not want to use tampons because of the reviews I had read. I came across menstrual cups and the fact that they were reusable & helped the environment sounded appealing to me. I bought my $50 menstrual cup and decided to go to my gyn so that way he could show me and help me to insert the cup. Everything went smooth, I went home and when it was time to remove it I couldn’t! I tried and tried. Spent hours in the restroom, took breaks, relaxed, tried again. I was getting really scared and started crying because I could not take out that evil thing out of me. I decided to go to the hospital. They took me in and it took the Dr. 20minutes to remove it!! He used different tools, his hand, everything! I was in so much pain from all of the things that they were attempting. I literally cried because I thought they were gonna have to perform a surgery or something on me. After he took it out I was so relieved. The doctor had said that the menstrual cup was so suctioned that it was almost impossible to remove it. He said that he usually get tampons cases but they are so easy to remove and he said that my case was so horrible. I checked out of the hospital, paid 150 dollars and went home so relieved from that nightmare. 2 months later went by and a bill of 1,500 dollars came in from my emergency visit!! I am so mad. I am a college student that could barely afford those 150 dollars I had initially paid and now they want me to pay them 1,500 for a stupid menstrual cup removal. I am sorry but I blame this on the manufacturer of my Diva menstrual cup. I hate them so much. Never doing that again. What I hate the most is that you can’t ask for a freaking refund according to their website. I can’t even get those stupid $50 I initially paid.
