Ovarian Cysts- when to go to the doctor??

Cal

Hey Ladies! I need advice, please! :)

**visual details ahead, here is your fair warning**

I am 27 and I would like to think that I have a very high tolerance for pain.

I have had cysts in the past, only once (about 3 years ago) being horrible enough to seek medical attention and before then I had no idea that they were even common. The only reason I had gone to the medical professionals then was because I had endured the intense sharp pains (thought that they were gas cramps or something weird) for and ENTIRE week. While working a warehouse job. While my husband was out of state for business. Hah, I had no idea how bad of condition I was in until I literally was so ill from the pain that I couldn’t drive myself to work let alone get dressed to leave the house.

That’s when I found out how common they were and this time was apparently so bad because they found 3 or 4 cysts on one ovary and one or two on the other at the same time.

Since then, I’ve had some where it would only cause period cramp-like symptoms for a hour or two one day and then I would never feel anything again.

This morning however, the instant that I woke up and tried to use the restroom, the insaneeee vaginal wall pains that I endured told me exactly what was going on. Ovarian cysts. Bad ovarian cysts. Things that have happened the last several days were now starting to make sense. I recently read that you can have minor cramps right before you ovulate so I though that that was what I was feeling this past Friday. And then Saturday, yesterday, I thought that the feelings were the ovulation happening. Today, was similar pains to three years ago. But not at the worst point to say, enough time to go to the doctor..

I could barely walk first thing this morning so I first tried to take a Midol (yeah right!) for the pain. That of course didn’t work. Since then, I’ve tried the hot rice pack, water and lemon, essential oils, hot shower- nothing has worked. Bowel movements and urinating have felt like what I would imagine birth feels like, or at least similar. My waist is HUGELY bloated 🙄. I have noticed a reddish tint to the urine and have been dizzy off and on today but still haven’t run fever.

My question is, when do I need to seek medical attention. Because this has almost been 20 hours now and still no letup in the pain/discomfort. I have a horrible tendency to compare instances to past symptoms to depict when I need to see my doctor and as you can imagine, that hasn’t always ended in my favor haha.

But now that we are planning to try conceiving this year, I’m a bit more concerned about the health of my reproductive system.

Any advice or insight would be very much appreciated!!! ☺️🙏🏼
