Older Husbands 🙄 Is it just us?

My husband is significantly older than I am, by 15 years almost exactly. Not only older but also has a director/control role at work. Both of these factors play part in our problem of him speaking to me like I am an employee or a daughter. Basically like I am below him. There’s been MANY MANY times I’ve had to remind him I am his wife, not his employee, speak to me accordingly. I tell him to leave work at work and home and home, that’s hard for him to do and understandably so- he’s working 24/7 even when he’s home. I am at my wits end. Our conversations are about only our children or the weather... Literally... I wish I was kidding. I’m thinking we need to seek out marriage and individual counseling. Has anyone ever been in my exact same situation, was it fixable? I can’t handle being treated like I’m insignificant. Nothing I say is ever right. I will literally have to dig up research to prove him wrong or just accept being told I’m wrong. It doesn’t matter what it is, he’s the devils advocate in those situations.
